Covering more than 5 million square miles, the Grand Arctic X12 is a monumental project that encompasses the vast regions within the Arctic Circle situated above the 65-degree south coordinate. This extensive area features completely new terrain relief and fills a gap in the X-Plane landscape that was previously left unexplored. The development of this expansion demanded a substantial effort to compile new files that seamlessly integrate into X-Plane 12.
One noteworthy aspect of this project is the innovative development solutions employed by Hsimulators. In light of the fact that the toolbox for creating new meshes has not been released to the public, Hsimulators has responded to the demands of the user community by launching this new version. They've used their own proprietary solutions, ensuring that adjustments to aquatic masses align precisely with the capabilities of forthcoming tools. As X-Plane 12 development tools become available to the public, Hsimulators will continue to update and enhance the scenarios.
The 3D scenarios in this expansion are meticulously crafted by HSimulators, and Antarctica Mega Scenery XP12 represents a unique blend of real-life elements and fictitious 3D objects. Notably, this project has been created entirely without relying on third-party libraries; it exclusively utilizes resources from HSimulators and the original X-Plane library.
 
The mesh terrain developed as part of this endeavor covers over 13 million square kilometers, making it one of the most extensive and detailed additions to the X-Plane platform. In addition to the expansive terrain, this expansion includes 44 airports, heliports, and localities, each meticulously designed to provide an authentic experience.
